Alternative milks are all the rage these days. Almond, oat, cashew, coconut, soy, the list goes on...
Although these plant-based milks are seemingly "healthier," a lot of them are full of added sugars, natural flavors, gums, etc. Most of them are also more expensive than regular milk.
That's why homemade almond milk is the perfect solution: it's more affordable than store bought options, made with natural and nutritious ingredients, and absolutely delicious. Did you know almonds are higher in calcium than cow's milk?
This plant-based beverage is a great option for vegans, those who are lactose intolerant, or anyone who just doesn't like cow's milk. It's light, cholesterol free, and so easy to make.
All you need:
- blender
- water
- FaroMia dip (either Vanilla Maple for a sweet and creamy milk or try Dark Chocolate for a mocha taste!)
Blend roughly 3 cups of water to 2 tablespoons FaroMia. Feel free to add in extra honey, maple syrup, or dates if you like it more sweet. And that's it! No straining necessary. Refrigerate for 3-5 days. Or, pour directly into your cook :)
